It is Thursday afternoon in the United States. It is summertime. If you are doing anything besides coming up with reasons to call in sick tomorrow, or making plans for tonight, all that we are doing here is in vain!!!!

Rules and Regs
As most of you know, I can't share what I'll be doing on a day to day basis. In order for our guys to stay as safe as possible, I won't be sharing much about our mission on this page. Instead I'll be using it to keep in touch with friends and family. There is a "comments" button at the bottom of the page if you want to get word to me on this site. Otherwise drop me a line on my regular e-mail address...it should still work for me in the desert.
UPDATE: A lot of you have mentioned having problems leaving comments because it asks for e-mail addresses instead of just allowing you to leave a comment. When you want to leave a comment, click on the word "comment", NOT the envelope next to it. The envelope is to send the blog to someone else in e-mail format. Hope that helps.

So Babs and I have been to the Bondi in San Diego and had a celebratory Blue Tongue Lager in your honor!!!! Shirts on! I introduced Babs to the USS Midway and the Navy life........I got to sit in the Captain's chair and noted that the Navy, for all the money provided by the Pentagon and Congress, had ommitted to include cup holders, what Babs and I saw as an important addition to any military vehicle/ship/aircraft! What with the Billions you guys get you can't have one cup holder for girl's Starbucks??????
Will be sending a couple of cute pics of Bab's in her Navy best.

Not only do you have fun without me, but you go to great length to describe it for me. I can't wait to make it to Bondi Bar, but what is a Blue Tongue Lager? That's a new one on me.
Glad Babs got to see the Midway while she was in town. It's pretty cool, huh? I was there for the commissioning of the USS Ronald Reagan, and Nancy, and Tom Selleck were there. I mention that only because they're both smaller than I thought. That's right, at least I have height over Selleck.
Tell Babs I hope her trip is awesome, and that I'm sorry I'm missing her...I'll be back Down Under in the coming years for sure.
